Bio

Marc Allen

I started messing around with the keys to make sounds on our family's piano when I was 5- I never did learn how to play it properly. When I was about 14. I picked up the guitar. The years went by, then I wrote my first song at age 28 and thought it was the coolest thing ever. About a year later, I wrote my second song that I still play to this day. Now, I have 30 songs under my belt and recently recorded 7 of them at Dark Horse Studios, and Cowboy Arms Studios in Nashville, TN.

I'm a third generation Colorado native. My first child was born when I was 18, and two more followed shortly after that. I am still married to my love of 30 years. I never cared much for schooling, so I dropped out when I was 16 to work full-time since I had already been holding a job for 4 years by that point. When I was 17, I got a job in a transmission shop and went on to work in that industry for 30 years.

I like to spend my time riding dirt bikes and I love camping out of my old 1994 dodge van. Rockhounding and jewelry making has been a new-found hobby of mine. I grow a veggie garden in the summer that fills our plates and gets my creativity in the kitchen flowing. Most of my time is spent playing music and developing my writing by working on songs, lyrics, samples, and many other creative outlets.

Back home in Grand Junction, CO I have played in a few bands - Tres Leches, Emerson Project, and No Tellin'.
